Bought this as one of my daughter's 18th birthday presents. She loves it and the loupe itself is good quality. She has used it to look at moss, tree bark and rocks on our walking trips - it gives a good clear image. Dropped one star as the case it comes with is very thin plastic and is not anywhere near the same quality as the loupe itself. If there was an option for 4.5 stars then maybe this would be fairer.

This appears to be a quality piece of equipment. My mother had had this same brand lens for several decades to use for looking at tiny cross stitch stitches. The lens finally fell out and was lost by father who was using it to identify bugs in the garden. He was a bit upset and I was so thankful to find your website with the same lens. While not used for the studies to which you you market, it is quite a handy magnifier. This summer I was able to tour Home Sweet Mine in Alma, Colorado U.S.A. They mine rhodocrozite. Since then I have renewed my curiosity in geology and will be borrowing this from my dear father to examine rocks and minerals!
