1mm head +1mm stylus for the ZPT-BL The Balaur. The head is engraved with the corresponding stylus diameter to avoid confusion. 

Only suitable for use under high magnification/microscope. Tungsten carbide retains its shape extremely well and requires very little sharpening, but it is brittle. At diameters as small as this, a lot of care needs to be taken not to break it. 

If you are working with the naked eye, the difference between a 1mm stylus and a 1.3mm or a 1.5mm stylus is negligible. The difference is only really visible and noticeable under high magnification where this fine stylus comes into its own, but the risk of breakage is higher with the 1mm. 

The styli we use in our Balaur are fitted with a locking mechanism to prevent rotation. This means you can sharpen the point, and if you do sharpen it off centre it won't matter.
